The war for your health.

There is a war going on right now that most people do not know about. I have been keeping up with its advancements and after reading the last article, I decided to share my views. This won’t be the neatest article in terms of writing, its more of a vent, so bear with me. There is a war going on between the doers, and the pencil pushers. Between people trying to make peoples lives better, and people trying to make money off of people. It’s the battle for the freedom to take your heath into your own hands. It’s a battle so sick, and ridiculous, that if the wrong side wins, Svenn, myself, Silje, all of the coaches at all the Crossfit gyms, could face up to 12 months in jail for teaching you how

Cycle 4 Week 3

Member Spotlight: Katrine Offerdal Davidsen

Katrine has been with us for a few months now, and has become one of our most consistent members. She always works hard, and has become a lot more comfortable with a barbell. Keep up the great work Katrine, and keep on smiling! What is your athletic, fitness, or training background? Jeg begynte å svømme da jeg var liten, og holdt det gående i ca. 10 år før motivasjonen tok slutt og jeg ville gjøre andre ting. Som svømmer var jeg aldri særlig spurtrask, og har alltid vært bedre på de lengre øvelsene, med 1500m som favorittdistanse. Etter jeg ga meg med svømmingen har jeg vært innom litt diverse treningssentre, men har aldri klart å holde det gående i lengden. Ellers har jeg alltid vært glad

Fish Oil. Get on it.

Should you be supplementing with Fish Oil? If you are a human, living in the year 2015, and you want to be healthy/healthier, the answer is yes. Here is why? Fish Oil is heralded for its health benefits because it contains high levels of two omega-3 fatty acids known as DHA, and EPA. These fatty acids are essential for cell function, and are unfortunately relatively non-existent in the average persons diet today, even for people who eat quite healthy. Omega-6 Fatty Acids are also important, however, these fatty acids, are more common in today’s diet, and therefore we do not need to supplement with Omega-6. Cycle 4 Week 1

Hey guys, Made it through hell-week. Awesome job, there were some spicy wods in there. Hope you all enjoyed it. We are starting up a new cycle now, and there will be two new movements. The Sumo Deadlift, which is a great overall strength builder, but especially good for midline stability. We are also going to begin working with the split-jerk. How are you hands?

Hey guys, Hands rip. It's part of the game. But, there are things that you can do to prevent rips, and there are also some things you can do to help alleviate the pain of a rip so that it heals up and doesn't influence your training. Here is a video from a Weightlifter named Donny Shankle. The above picture is him Hang Clean and Jerking 200kg, so he knows what he is doing. Cycle 3 Hell Week!

Big week here. Enjoy yourselves, and remember when it comes to the 1 rep max attempts, a few extra kilos isn't worth an injury. Always aim for technique over intensisty/load. Have fun!
